Hello we have dehydrated our own food this year and it was the best thing we ever did. However, we did not use it all. Is it OK to freeze the leftover dehydrated food? We have the oxygen absorber thing in the packs. We did not heat seal the packs though. Please give advice.

I never freeze or refrigerate leftovers. Just through in a box for use on my next trip.

You definitely can, but if it was properly dehydrated its not necessary. It won't hurt anything though, so feel free to do so if it'll increase your peace of mind.

I freeze the dehydrated food until I use it and any leftovers for the next trip.

Same approach here. We often try a new recipe at home in the off season and dehydrate the left-overs if we liked the meal enough to add it to our paddling menus.
