Taking my 2 sons (19 & 18) for 5 nights out of Sag on Sunday. It’s been probably 40 years since I’ve been up to the BWCA and we are all absolutely giddy with excitement. Boys have never been but are always up for an adventure with Dad.

Our plan is to head into Ester / Hanson / Cherry and just set up base camp there for the week. Focused on relaxing and lots of fishing (geared appropriately for that). We have likely overpacked food etc given we are first timers but we’re ok with that as we will have relatively few portages.

Just wanted to thank you all for the tips and posts in this forum. I’ve been following on here for months and feel we are well planned. Renting a few things from our outfitter (Seagull) like canoe, packs, etc but all of you have helped immensely.
