We are thinking about Lizz Swamp. What are you thoughts on destinations and routes? We would like to catch a few fish.

Great choice! Lots of options with that route and plenty of fish of all different species. Do you know how long you are planning and what type of fish you'd like to target? Walleye in many of those lakes and lake trout in Winchell.

Lizz and Swamp entry points

You could reverse the trip I did in 2022 by entering through Lizz and coming out at Bower Trout (Lizz, Horseshoe, Gaskin, Winchell, Cone, Brule, Bower Trout).

I’ve had success for those species on Caribou, Horseshoe, Gaskin, and Pillsbury in that area.

Headed there myself for the first time mid July. I made a list of all the lakes in the area and put notes from DNR and trip reports for fish etc.
