We are entering into Farm Lake in August. Is the entry point at the boat access on the west side of the lake or is it on the point at the end of lodge road where it indicates on the entry point map? Somebody has a "point of interest" on the map at the public access as being the entry point for Farm Lake. Just wondering how far we are going to have to paddle!

Thanks!

Hi Wolf,

We launched at the public access - parked on the blue-circled road.

From a view a little further out, we paddled from the red "x" on the western side to the red "x" on the northeast corner. It was a straight shot the morning we left as there was no wind but on the way back we followed the northern shore.

Cool route with some neat places to explore. Hope you enjoy planning and have an awesome trip this summer!

Twice now, we have launched from where Kawishiwi Trail crosses the skinny bay on the south end of South Farm Lake. There's a 4-wheeler parking area just before the water. "Secret" spot that VNO let us know about. Saved our butts on some windy Farm Lake entry days.

Big walleyes and Northerns in the slough at first ice.
