Went to Historic Clearwater Lodge for a day trip on Saturday. First off, the lodge is awesome! We were only on the water for several hours, but hung out and relaxed there for awhile afterwards. Wind made for a perfect drift back to the lodge. Bass were active, but pretty small. Firetiger powergrubs were the hot bait. Silver mepps worked well also. We didn’t bother trying for lake trout.

Yes, I enjoyed a nice cold castle danger cream ale. I regret talking myself out of buying a jar of pineapple habanero jam.
