Ran six miles today outside today along with most of St. Paul and Mpls it seemed. Okay, ran four and walked two.

Walking, running, rollerblading, biking-- what will you do to help replace the skiing?

BTW-- Good job Kevlar and Banks for extending the season as long as possible. I imagine there will be skiing in NE for while yet. Or skate skiing anyway.

I may even ski Maria on Monday...have to call on Sunday and find out how the trails fared from the rain.

When the skis go up (in the garage) the bike comes down. I'll keep walking, going to the club--bothers me to be indoors, but I need the more strenuous work and the weights, biking, and I intend to try to get some trail hiking in this year, until the bugs close it down. When the ice is off, may try the kayak again...13' clunker that I haven't used in two years due to rotator cuff issues, but they are better due to specific exercises for them. A canoe stroke doesn't bother my shoulders, maybe because it is all below shoulder level and it is two handed, but the kayak stroke did bother.

Tremolo, how was the up north skiing?

In summer I will: canoe, bike, hike.

Kevlar-- I had to abort the trip:( I was needed at home.

Lake Maria, according to the ski reports, is "fair" but wild river is listed as "good".

Wish I could join you Monday.

Good luck to all. I had been able to ski in the backyard earlier this week in the morning when frozen, but it never even got below freezing overnight last night.

Perfect skate skiing on Sat/Sun/Mon mornings (soft after 11:00)- Tuesday/Wednesday the lakes were awash in slush. Today was sloppy but workable. beautiful foggy day- mostly double poling through slop and gingerly skating on too firm ice.
