Great report. Nice first experience in the BWCA. You had a little taste of everything without having to over extend yourself: portaging with gear, day tripping, and great fishing. I've had over 100 trips to the BWCA, but would have enjoyed being with you guys immensely.

Sounds like a fun trip with good fishing. Can't ask for much more than that.

Always be the second one in the outhouse, it's going to smell anyway so you might as well have a warm seat.

Nice report. Thanks for the info on the fishing. It helped us out and we had a blast as well. We are considering wood lake again next year due to the awesome fishing and campsite.

This report brought back memories for me. This was my first trip also over 20 years ago. Hula is a salad bowl! Sounds like that hasn't changed. Glad you had fun.
