We leave on Saturday for our FIRST Quetico trip!! I'm so pumped! One thing I haven't asked is do we need cash to pay at the ranger station for the camping fee or will they take credit card? I'd rather not bring cash along.....

All is almost ready - just some last minute packing and the three of us girls are on our way! Woo Hoo!!

I just got back last weekend and happy to report the ticks are all gone, some mosquitoes but only at dusk, and water temps are perfect for swimming. Only one minor issue, the house flies and some horse flies. They buzzed full speed around until they got stuck in our hair. Have a hat handy. We didn't use deet at all but fired up the thermacell a couple times at dusk.

oh, and did I mention the blueberries are plump juicy and ripe for the pickin!

hey j-man you didn't mention the blueberries but i heard it somewhere else! YAY! We're plannin' on picking our fill - thanks all for the info. Just about all packed up now - only a few thing to add to the personal pack, gas up the van, check the tires/oil and off we go!
