Glad you enjoyed your trip. My son and I had great fishing on Wood Lake a few years ago. Hope to get back there some day. Thanks for sharing your report!

Well OK- I guess I will make room for more details!!!!! LOL!!! Where to begin????
Well as the trip report stated, it was a 5day -4night trip starting in Wood lake and being picked up at EP 25 on Moose. My plan was to spend 2 nights on Wood which we did and move to Wind for the final two nights, and maybe go back and spend a day fishing Good an Indiana.
The vague part of the trip route explanation and one that I guess I mis understood was the route was suppose to be Wood to Hula to Good to Indiana to Wind Bay to Wind. So now is where you might want to look at a map so you get the good belly laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!
The route I/We took was Wood to Hula to Wind Bay to Wind. So as you see we skipped the portages from Hula to Good - Good to Indiana - Indiana to Wind Bay!!!!!!Yes we took the creek you see connecting Hula to Wind Bay....... Oh My Gosh!!!! At the end of Hula there is a Beaver dam, and then a nice creek, so we thought what the heck. Well around the bend was three more beaver dams and a creek that was two foot wide and a foot deep!!!!!!!! So for the next half of a mile we packed canoes/packs/gear over - under and through trees rocks and brush!!!!Two hours later we see an opening and was so relieved, Not knowing this was still ahead of the Indiana portage on Wind Bay. So there were two more beaver dams to go around before we could get to Wind bay. Needless to say our trip from Wood to Wind was quite a survival trip (set camp up at 6pm!!!). AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THE CREEK FROM HULA TO WIND BAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL -- Have fun !! we did and are still planning for next year but a DIFFERENT PATH!!!! WOW!!!

We also had a blast on wood lake. Some of the best b-dub fishing I have seen. I'm glad you got into some bigger northerns. We thought there might be some in there.
