I just picked up a Voyageur map for the Snowbank Trail. I'm hiking it Labor Day weekend. They did a nice job on the Border Route Trail so I thought I'd try them for this hike. I'm not very happy with either McKenzie or Fisher maps for hiking. Now that I look at this map they have missed at least 12 campsites on a 40 mile hike. When I bought the map I didn't review it because I know where the campsites are and the map is just so if I get lost at least I had a map with me. But 12 sites in a 40 mile hike. If someone not familiar with the area was trying to plan a hike the map would be useless. Is there no quality control at Voyageur? Now all I have to do is convince my fellow hikers, who have not been there, that there really are campsites where I say there are. Thanks for listening, or not.

It may help to pass this word onto dealers of these maps along the way... as you did here. The dealers don't want to sell crappy maps just to have people come back ticked off. I actually prefer the Fisher maps. They're just easier for me to spot different features.

I noticed the very same thing. I used Voyageur maps on the BRT, but we also had a Mckenzie map. I remember too that Voyageur missed lots of trail sites on the Kek as well. Haven't yet compared the Pow Wow trail sites.
Heck, I have noticed that about Voyageur maps concerning paddeling around the lakes. I have used them twice now and each time I have felt more untrustworthiness sneak into my expectations of them.
