Kevlar-- Last year, I showed you a waxing tip I learned from Finsusu and darn it, I am laying awake at night trying to remember what it was!!!! I know it was something simple, but effective too. Do you remember??????

Sorry, Tremolo, I don't remember it...I do remember you told me one, but not what it was. Could it have been something about double layers, and warmer for older snow?

Frustrating. I think we were skiing in warmer weather and the tip might have been to extend the area of the kick wax.

That sounds reasonable...good memory. Have you been skiing yet?

kevlar--no ski this end of town-- not enough to ski on. you?

Not yet, but probably could have. I really like to get a base snow, and then another layer on top of that. My real problem is that the late season hunting can be so good...tracking pheasants, black powder deer hunting, grouse hunting.

Tremolo, you're living on the east side of the cities now...great skiing just east of you in the St. Croix valley, when we get some snow.

Kevlar

yeah, not far at all from Afton and I know the skiing there can be fantastic. I just moved back to the cities until my spouse and I work out arrangement with the kids. It was just too hard to be so separate from them this fall. Might think about something in Afton-- but at the same time, I am really a city girl too, and love my house by the river so it's really all in flux right now. i did ask spouse to move out but he wont budge and I wont make it an issue. the good thing is we are really working hard, and calmly to put the kids first. And another good thing is I absolutely love my job in Woodbury, and so that keeps my spirits high.

Good for you. Chin up, bright side. Better than the alternatives. A job you like really helps. When we get some skiing snow I'll join you for an Afton ski. Are you thinking about the Whitewater thing in January? It would be a great opportunity for skiing if we had snow.

Kevlar-- I might do the ww in Jan, but that's right after my one act play competition (I am the director) and right after parent teacher conferences. I might be too tired. But it might be just the thing. Will probably play it by ear.
