Hi Everyone

I have the best collection of photos of
the Kekekabic Trail and the Border Route Trail
posted at my website at
http://sites.google.com/site/isawtman

Now I have created Quick Tours of each trail
which feature the highlights of the trail.
The quick tour for the Kek is about 70 photos
where the quick tour for the BRT is about 90 photos.

But if you want a more in depth look check out
the main photo galleries.

Both the Kek and BRT have had some major
trail crew work done on them the last 2 summers
so they should be in fairly good condition.

I was on a BRT trail crew last summer

tman,

My husband, my son who was 12 at the time and I, hiked part of the Kek last August 2009.

We only made it to Benezie lake, (East side of becoosin loop)
we were so tired and scared because it was getting late, that locating the campsite was like seeing God.

I just read your trip report, I wish your report was ready before we departed, it has so useful information. But it is never too late. Cause we always talk about the possibility of coming back. Unfortunately I understand that the west side of the trail was affected by the big fire this summer. And there are going to be two sad areas in the trail.

From what I understand, the Pagami Creek Fire never
reached the Kekekabic Trail. But it totally wiped
out the legendary Pow Wow Trail. There's going
to need a lot of work to be done to restore it.

regards from me, Todd
