I am going to be teaching a class in Burnsville on Jan 11 and 12 and am thinking about bringing my skis with to do some short skis after I finish class. Any ideas on good places to go in the neighborhood? Throught I'd check Skinnyski as well, but thought one of you folks may have a tip.
Thanks.

Yeah, I know about MH, but will probably be skiing after dark, so looking for something a little more tame. Thanks for the response.

Hyland Park in Bloomington has lights.

Night skiing at MH is prohibited, for obvious reasons. :)

Thanks J- I printed a map of the park as it is really close to where I am staying. Do you know anything about Alimagnet Park trails? Thanks.

i've never skied there. check this link from skinny ski, a site similar to this one, skinnyski, in eagan, lebanon hills has gorgeous ski trails and ski rentals, if needed. lebanon hills park is the reason i can live in the cities and not go crazy,.

gutmon, i reread your post. you are planning to night ski. terrace oaks is probably not a good first choice due to several hills. lebanon hills is excellent night skiing, they rerouted the trails to avoid the crazy hills they used to have. bring a flashlite, the trail system is crazy complicated but there are maps at all of the intersections. people get lost in here, last summer the eagan police had to go into the park to rescue lost cyclists, the police got lost also.

Love Lebanon hills, but hate the intersections-- too many, too complicated.

Bring your SPOT:)
