Paddle
Puddicomb 10 degree bent with a bending branches straight shaft for a spare. When recreational paddling in town I bring my Turtleworks beaver tail
Stroke
J stroke primarily bit I also do sit and switch. I do a little Canadian at times for fun if I am just paddling to relax.
Seat
Didn't think I would like the tractor seat but it is ok. I do like the sliding ability to help trim while on the water.
If you are buying new consider getting the wood gunwales. I love my wood gunwales. Much quieter while paddling and warmer to the touch in spring-fall cold weather and cooler to the touch in summer. To maintain them I use 0000 steel wool with a good marine grade teak oil twice a year. Once every couple of years I sand with a fine paper to remove stains and deep scratches before reoiling.

New Prism owner and solo paddler here, but so far I'm tending to use a very short bent-shaft paddle (BB Sun Shadow 14-dgree 48") switch paddling. When I paddle the tandem we never do switch paddling, I generally like to paddle J-stroke in the stern on the same side for hours using a straight shaft paddle. But in the solo it seems doing correction strokes slows me down too much, plus there's no need to coordinate with someone else when to switch, so I prefer the switching in the solo, at least so far.
In terms of seats, all else being equal I like cane, but I did want the ability to adjust seat position in the solo (a feature I don't need or use in a tandem), so I went with the tractor like Bogs has. I think the tractor seats are really pretty comfortable, except maybe in really hot weather since they don't breathe.

I had Spring Creek put in a web seat that can be adjusted... I like it.
