Has anyone hiked to Medas & Moiyaka Lakes? Also, does anyone know if the Angleworm is okay to hike this summer. It was blocked by beaver last year.

I've been to Medas a couple of times. Really nice campsite. Moiyaka is a nice lake but the campsite is not very good. If you go there hike the Old Pines Loop also Benezie/Becoosin loop was cleared before last Labor Day.
I hiked Angleworm in October and was chest deep in the creek coming in from Trease Lake. It was kind of chilly. Call the Forest Service to get current conditions.

The picture doesn't do the tree on Medas lake justice, but its all I have. We only had lunch at the site, but it was a long and very enjoyable time spent.

Thanks for the info. We will probably be doing the Medas and Moiyaka hike this year and save the Angleworm for another time. We made it as far as the creek going clockwise on the Angleworm last summer, and water was over the trail. I can't swim and it was pretty deep so we turned back when we didn't see a way around it. My husband checked the other direction and said it was water as far as he could see. We did get to hike the Centennial Trail and it was very nice.
