My brother and I are heading up in two weeks. I was wondering can I filter and use lake water or do we need to bring our supply. Anthony

Lake water in Big Island Lake wilderness is good quality. Filter or boil is fine.

I set a goal of losing 10 lbs. this year. I only have 15 left to lose.

I'm going there for the first week of October, going in September 29th. I was there for a couple days last October and had the whole place to myself. It's pretty nice.

I filtered my water.

I saw so much birch bark everywhere I went. Didn't need any other tinder.
