Just back from another trip, this one into the heart of Fire 124.....all i can say is wow. Got more than I bargained for on this trip. You can view the report here.

Thanks for sharing Harlan! I was within a few miles of the fire on a couple occasions, all I saw was billowing smoke. Until my last day, when it in andated me with smoke. Can only imagine the power of the fuel and flames!

all i can say is WOW! awesome photos of the fire burning, of the burned areas, and the stark contrast of burn and fall colors of the remaining trees. glad you were able to get out and help.
