Yoke length for Bell Magic

I am going to put together my own detachable yoke for my Magic. I have read a bunch of the threads about making yokes and have my component list together. What I do not know is what length to make the yoke. I know the canoe is 24# wide and after looking at several photos I see there is some overhang. What length should I make my yoke?

i used spring creek clamps. my yoke is 26".

width will also be dependent on what style detachable yoke you make. Here is a pic of a great detachable yoke design you may not have seen before. It may give you a few more ideas before you start building.
