In keeping with the Voyageurs, but mostly because my father's head gets cold at night while camping, I've made a number of tuques. Cloth can be cotton or wool:

Making The Pattern

Outline Pattern On Cloth (four pieces)

Cut Out Pieces

Sew Pieces Together

Turn Inside out and Double Sew Seams (French seam)

Finish by sewing a hem on the "hat band" of the tuque.

Any special size that you cut the pattern/fabric?

I make these with my leftover fleece - then donate them to the food shelf. They are fast easy and warm!

Good idea!
