Thoughts? It seems like most people on here either use WBBBs or ENOs. What about Hennessy? For those that have a HH, is the entry from the bottom a nuisance? Velcro or zipper? It seems that the price of an HH is between a WBBB or ENO at about $150 for hammock plus rain fly.

I have a couple of Hennessy's and like them a lot. I think the newer ones have a zip option as opposed to the bottom entry, and I'd definitely go with that. I had a side zip added to mine and no longer use the bottom entry.
That being said....I'd strongly consider the WBBB. Base on what I've read, they sure sound like they're designed and made well. If I bought a new hammock (unlikely), I'd probably try the Warbonnet.

I currently have an Eno Singlenest. It's great for afternoon naps, but I'm not sure I'd want to use it for regular trip sleeping, as it's symmetric and a bit narrow.
When I first looked at Hennessy hammocks they only had the bottom entry, and while that works for lots of people, it struck me as pretty weird, so it was nice when they added the zippered option on everything. They certainly look like good stuff.
The thing that's making me think about a Warbonnet is the double fabric option. Being a ground sleeper and having a bunch of gear for that, being able to slide a pad in like that sounds appealing.
No big purchases yet to make the leap, but that's what's rolling around in my head so far.

I started with an ENO double and spent many nights in it. It worked great. Very comfortable. When I wanted an upgrade I looked at both HH an WarBonnet. Like tiny said the bottom entry threw me off. The foot box and shelf sold me on the BB.

I have the HH BPUL with the velcro bottom entry and I like it alot! I've slept in a few others with the side entry but I like the bottom entry the best. when I want to get out I just drop my feet and standup. you dont sleep on the velcro so you dont ever need to worry about it opening up while your sleeping.

I have both a Hennessy and a Warbonnet Blackbird. I much prefer the Blackbird because of the shelf for storing things.
On my recent solo, when I was both going in and out of the BWCA, I spent my first and last nights at a site not far from the entry point so it was a heavily trafficked location.
Several parties passed by and inquired about the hammock. Every one of them asked if my Blackbird was a Hennessy. Must be a mid-west thing ...

There's nothing wrong with the bottom entry. As a matter of fact, if you walk into the hammock, spin 180*, sit down and pull your legs up, it sets you up in position without a lot of shifting around.
You get less skeeters to deal with once settled in and don't have to worry about snagging or broken zippers. I have always found it easier than a side entry when your tarp is up because you approach the hammock from the end instead of the side where the tarp would be lower.
The Bottom entry has some advantages. But it's more of a personal preference.

Not sure if it is a midwest thing but I know HH kind of paved the way for the ultra light hammock. Bought my first HH about 10 years ago. There were a few others (i.e. clark) but HH was in a class all its own at the time. Now others have caught up (and I would say even surpassed HH).
Just my 2 cents:)
