We stayed in one of the yurts for a couple of nights several years ago. We skiied the trail (some of it) and I found it to be not my favorite. It was fairly flat and the stretch that we did was bordered by pines on both sides to the point that you really couldn't see anything other than the trees.
Thanks for the info, that's kind of the impression that I got from looking at pictures. The trail seems really closed in with evergreens. Probably something to put on the back burner. Looks like a good late season destination though. Check out this post from 2011, 13" of base remaining on April 24th.
The Banadad was awesome when I skiied it two seasons ago, easy to follow, beautiful sights. A little hemmed in with pines but they open up, actually saw a nice wolf on the trail. Did the trail in about a half day, if you were prepared you could ski it both directions in one day and not have to shuttle your car. Either way, I highly recommend it, it's not often you get to find a long trail that isn't made up from a series of short loops!
