i was online looking for ski poles last night. my son moved back from oklahoma and reclaimed all of his ski gear. now i need poles and they are really expensive.
i ran across these boots alpina , i was suprised they were still making these. i suspect it is leftover, unsold inventory.

Thanks for the replies. Those Alpinas are almost what I'm looking for. There are a lot of used 3 pin "boots" out there, unfortunately, most are low and smooth soled shoes. I plan to use these camping and would like a pair are a little more substantial. I've found a few leather back country boots that look great but are much too expensive for me.

Merlin-
I bought a pair of Alico 75mm boots a couple of winters ago. They aren't cheap but they are nice. You might want to look at some Crispi Antartica's. You will have to use backcountry Rottefella or Voile 3 pins.
Have a good one,

Thanks plaid wool. I did not realize that the traditional 3 pin bindings would not fit all 75 mm boots ...thicker sole I assume.
Would you happen to know if the roteffella or Voille 3 pin bindings use the same screw hole placement as an ancient 3 pin binding?
