We cleared two portages on our recent trip. Here are a couple pictures of what we found...

We also found ice on the portage after moving a couple large pine tree tops (good insulators!)

Marten, did you do the Minjim route?

No I did not get to the Minjim route From Royd to Indian House. I did the first 30 meter to Constellation when I passed through Royd on my way north. The Irvine Loop took 6 days to get around. I had hoped to have time to go through Poodle and use East Royd Creek through Constellation back to Royd but time, energy and fuel ran out.

I just got this update from Claire as I am planning an early Sept trip from Garner Lake......

One of our maintenance crews was just flown in to Garner this morning and will be working their way up the Garner River to Haggart and to Mather. In 2 weeks, they should be traveling from Haggart to Triangle Lk up to Beamish to Irregular.

At this time, I am very confident that you should have no problems getting around in these areas by September.
