Just back from a solo trip to Smoke and Burnt Lakes. Only heard my all time favorite song - Swainsons Thrush - twice. Does any one have a place where they consistently hear them? Love to listen to them at dusk!

When I camped on Ashigan Lake in early June, there was a Swainson's Thrush singing in the woods behind the campsite, somewhere not too far from the latrine. He was a pretty consistent singer. My campsite was the one on the south side of the lake, near the Gibson portage. I think there was also one singing across the lake by the campsite on the north side. I hear Hermit Thrushes and Veeries much more often up here than Swainson's, but if you are in the right place, Swainson's are there.
