I am looking for info on the unnamed lake just south of brewer we are going to basecamp on mcaree and fish the area ,I would like to know if it contains fish and what is the easiest way into it . We are going the first week in August any info on any thing interesting day trip wise would be appreciated .

I have only heard about these lakes, but Bass lake....maybe they are both Bass lake has both Largemouth and Smallies.I believe you get into Bass from LacLacroix...Pulling and Dahlin are suppose to be good fishing, I don't think there is a true portage, but if you nose around you might find a path.....I also know there is fishing around the island opposite where Black Robe Portage comes into McAree...I have fished this one, we stayed at the campsite one night on this island at the end of our last trip....try the NE corner .
