I don't have any yet, but was thinking of getting some along with a new tarp from Hammock Gear. I'm not sure why they're not listed, but I know others have ordered them without there being a listing, so I'd try just e-mailing HG and asking if they can still make them for you.

I sent them an email and they said somebody has a patent and they were not making them at this time. They also said they were working on a new design. This was awhile ago and I don't want to wait any longer.

She will make them to fit your specific tarp/hammock and I believe they cost about as much as the other ones."
I've got a set of her skins for my Superfly. They work very well. In fact I can wrap the tarp with the skins and still pack it back in the original carry bag. She makes a great product and has excellent delivery.
Watch out for that rock!!!........ Oooo.... That's going to leave a mark...

Do you know what size snakeskins your using? I would also be using them with a super fly."
They are the one that Hennessey sell with their hammock. They are longer than they need to be but work well.

Rambler
Now that you have or soon will have skins think about how you will pack your lines. I use a continuous ridge line and have 10+ feet sticking out each end. I pull the skins on then take the ridge line loose from one of the trees. I fold about 1 ft of the end to the skinned tarp over about 3 times and wrap the 10+ feet of line around it with the last rap going into the crack between the folds. Then do the other end the same way. When I get done I have a fat rope with a lump on both ends to pack.
As far as type of skins I would prefer something that would breath.

I'll have to play around with them when they arrive to figure out what way works best for me.

Rambler - I think MG puts line pockets on her sleeves. The sleeves do make set up and take down easy. Also, on a nice night, you can string the tarp up in the sleeves and if the weather changes you can deploy fast.

She does put pockets on the sleeves if you ask for them. I had her put them on mine and they work great to store the extra line.

quote jcavenagh: "Rambler - Have you tested your tarp sleeves?"
I have not tested them out yet. I've been out of town every weekend since the beginning of December. My crazy life should be slowing down soon! I'm looking forward to a little winter hammocking in the next few weeks.
