Here's one I'm getting ready for a knife show in Little Rock in two weeks.
This blade was made by laminating 420 Stainless Steel on the sides of a high carbon 1095 core.
This offers rust and corrosion resistance to an otherwise susceptible blade.
The handle material is stabilized Silky Oak from Hawaii and the guard is twisted wrought iron that was made in 1903.
And quite contrary to what someone might think - wrought iron is NOT prone to rust.
Just the opposite.
If that was the case, it would not have been used for structures and wheels, etc.
