This is a really great spot in early spring when the river is rushing into Gabi. There is a rock at the mouth you can stand on and cast a line into the current and let the river take it out into the lake till your line is almost gone. Hook into a nice laker and reel it in in the current. Catching a 3 lb fish in that current is like fighting a monster, plus you will be trying to keep your balance on the rock. The last 5 years I have caught a fish there on my first cast.

You can also wedge your canoe into the rocks on the left side of the mouth..prob not a good idea with a Kevlar..but have caught a lot of fish from that spot too
