last night i slept on the living room floor on my exped pad, while my wife and i get over our colds.
i was on carpet and woke up with a sore hip-this was on carpet, mind you.
now i know why i love my hammock so much-looking for ward to the first hang-bwca solo trip mid may. maybe before in the backyard.

For me, the pain of sleeping on the ground was always just part of the trip, washed out in the fog of all the positive parts of the adventure. Last winter I camped in the basement with one of my kids, and woke up with the same pain. That's what got me thinking about hammocks in the first place, and now I don't think I could go back to the ground.
"Hold on, I think I can get in without getting my feet wet."....SPLASH...

Where are you located? I'm looking for someone in the Twin Cities with a Thunderbird or Dangerbird that I could try laying in to see what those are like.

I live in Mpls, and you're welcome to try out my dangerbird.

I have been hanging on my canoe trips now for 3 years... last summer my wife & I went car camping for a week & tented it... I remembered why I went to hanging... the last couple days we rented a room!!! Love my hammock!
