FYI. Woot has Yukon Outfitters Hammocks on sale again. This time they have 5 to choose from from $20 to $25. And a rain fly for $20.
They may not come with suspension.
I've bought from Woot before. Never had a problem.
And these sell out quickly.

I wonder how they compare to hammocks costing ten times as much? Footbox? Gear shelf? Quality zipper?

Short answer - they don't.

I have 2 Yukons from a long-ago prior sale, and it got me interested in hammock camping. They're straight-up nylon parachute hammocks, with the incumbent stretch - and with no hanging hardware (just VERY short ropes at the gathers).

However, I still have those hammocks, and it's worth pulling out for a gear storage or so.

You just saved me $50...! (Literally just canceled the order.)

True that. I like them to use as loaners or lounge around hammocks. Plus since they will need a suspension it gives me practice making whoopies and ucr's.

Now if money is no issue.....
get this.

Im on Hammockforums and those guys are buying these up. They said they replace the hanging gear that comes with them, so YES they do come with hanging gear. According to the ones that had purchased before they are good hammocks especially for the money but the suspension system is pretty heavy, so they replace them with whoopies, etc..

I picked up 2 hammock tarps from them today. $20 a piece for an 11' 10" x 9'4", 1 lb hammock tarp? cant beat that.

It's worth noting that many of the folks on Hammock Forums use their Yukon hammocks as loaners.

More than anything it's a "Gateway Hammock".

This was exactly my experience, and I'm glad that I had them. However, my HH are much more to my liking!

I always had problems hanging these Yukons to allow for the stretch I had putting my bulk into it. My son was a lot easier to hang for, but he's only 60lbs.

I'm sure if I put some whoopies on, and had some better straps they would work well, but now I'm adding $40-$60 per hammock; where I think it would be better to just buy in to better one.

Agreed. I'll be bringing my Hennessy up to the east side in about 2 weeks.
Sounds like I'll just miss you. Hope you have a great time.

Hey, you too - and don't forget the longer straps! ;)
