Well, Gnegard, Hans Solo, Anthony, and I made it back after our 9-day trip to the southeast - central part of the park. I added an approximate 18 mile solo loop during the middle of our loop to see the burn area between Wrist and Haven, and then back through Rostoul, Hanson, Glen, etc to Mexican Hat where I rejoined the group. My total trip was roughly 61 miles. Fishing (when done) was generally successful. However, we managed not to see any of the others of you in the park at the same time!

It was truly a great time. Lots of portages, laughs, fish dinners, blueberries, and some beautiful travel days together. Anthony and I also enjoyed some quality Father & Son time when the group split up for a few days. We all left Woodland Caribou Provincial Park with some fantastic memories.

Although rain gear was never required during our nine day trip, most travel days somehow always seemed to be against the wind. Nevertheless, the breezy travel days were still manageable and enjoyable.

My son Anthony became a full fledged Voyageur during this trip and he experienced and learned a lot. Anthony's "group solo tripping education" came about by not only doing, but from input and contributions from all members of the trip.

Many thanks to Harlan Schwartz, Greg, and Mike for their efforts and contributions for a successful and enjoyable Woodland Caribou group solo canoe trip.

Sounds like you guys had a great trip. Being there in the same time period, I can relate to the wind issues. Looking forward to exchanging stories at Copia next year. Congrats on a successful trip.

Thanks Andy, same to you! Sounds like your trip was special as well.

I definitely look forward to comparing notes on our trips at Canoecopia 2015 and/or the next Wing Night we're at.
