Hopefully my dad will chime in with the name of the lake. it escapes me at the moment. I can see the campsite and where it is on the map in my head just forget the name.

this is a typical rebuild for me when I find a fire place that just has too much wrong with it to "touch up".

Why do I do this???

because I enjoy a nice fireplace, and hope others will too. aside from this I have a "knack" (maybe its the polish and german blood)(maybe its hereditary from grandpop joe). I find it fun. rewarding.

That rebuild was on Ogishkemuncie Lake June 10, 2014. The campsite number was 784 (south west portion of lake). Nice job (as usual)

as "drifter" knows too well. and at times to pure aggravation. I have done many of these rebuilds. If you think it might be mine.... PLEASE post. will answer (if I ever have time to get on here)(working night shift w/ 1hr commute each way)

IT amazes me how anyone got a fire to burn in there before the rebuild.

thanks, I try. and often wonder the same. a good fire place not only reflects heat back to the users, but also keeps combustion temperature up for a cleaner burn. also I find that it promotes a proper draft, even when the wind is not in my favor.
