I would say about 5-6 hours. We camped on Bald Rock falls on one of our trips to Kawnipi and were setting up camp in McKenzie Bay by mid afternoon. Lots of fishing along the way! :)

That is about what I was thinking...hoping. If we get out the door early from Bald Rock falls (8am), we are hoping to be on McKenzie just after lunch, depending on weather. And yeah we want to fish as we go a little so if "they are biting" we might not get there till 3-4 I guess. Thanks Kiporby
Anyone have any pictures of Kawnipi? We will be there is just over 3 1/2 weeks and CANT WAIT! Just a couple pictures to help me survive the next few weeks and see what the reward is at the end of the trip up the falls chain? Pretty please? :)
thanks

quote MarshallPrime: "For a group of 4 men, well traveled in the BWaters and avg physical shape double portaging, about how Long will it take to get from Bald Rock Falls on Sydney Lake to McKenzie Bay area on Kawnipi?
Thanks"
That island campsite just inside McKenzie is AWESOME. There are a few others in that bay too, but that site seems to be one of my favorites.
Fishin in and around those areas is stellar too. Lots and Lots of walleye and not too bad smallie fishing either.
Have FUN......NO trip this year spring for me.
Again, HAVE FUN.......

When a guy can go on a website and see pictures someone posts of one campsite in this whole big world that he has personally camped on, and read others chime in about spending nights there as well, then that would explain the excessive amount of toilet paper scattered around the woods in the crapping area. Goodness, when I was there in September of 2013, it looked like an army must have been camped there judging by the toilet paper.

Last week I was camped on an island on Saganagons just before the Falls Chain and made it to McKenzie Bay by 4pm the next day. Left at 8am. It took about 1.5 hours to reach Bald Rock Falls from the first portage landing on Saganagons. So, about 6 hours from Bald Rock Falls sounds about right. I had a gentle north wind to paddle against. Nothing really to slow me down.
