I'm looking for a place to buy dehydrated food for an up coming trip. I would prefer to buy meal components and not complete meals. I was going to work on doing my own dehydrating but I just don't think I will have the time this year.

Wilderness Dinning North Bay Tradding
2 sources I have ordered from and like.
Camp Chow
Semi complete meals, I like to ad meat/dried herbs to most of them. Very good though.

I generally dehydrate my own meals for freezer bag cooking. The few times that I have purchased meals, it seems to me that the best prices can be found by going direct to the manufacturers web site.

You also might find something at PackitGourmet

Also, of course, many things are available at the grocery store - Rice, pasta, fruit, quinoa, lentils, beans, etc.

For fruit, I do like Bella Viva . The cantaloupe is especially nice.

Try the gumbo. Adds one pork and venison sausage. Delish.

If you prefer components, you can buy big bags of harmony house vegetables on amazon. Or, they sell a sampler kit at REI. You can get the #10 can of Mountain house freeze dried chicken/beef at REI or many other places. I'm also trying the ova easy eggs this year - you can order the smaller size from the manufacturer with free shipping, or get the bigger size. Trader Joes has the best dried fruit IMHO if you can find one near you. They also have 10min barley, quinoa, and some other sort of instant things besides what you might otherwise get at the grocery store.

Lots of choices at http://www.harmonyhousefoods.com

Our other ingredients tend to come from Trader Joes and some of the other sites mentioned above. But a lot comes from Harmony House.
