A nice mix of what makes the BWCA what it is. I, too, enjoyed the under water shots. Your video and editing and being to goof you are sure makes for a nice start to my morning.
Did I notice something in the back of Alex's kayak during the portage at about 15 minutes?

quote bwcasolo: "that was great! loved the underwater, canoe passing shots.
"
The minute we got there I had that shot on my mind. Mucho thanks for watching.
quote HappyHuskies: "Another great video and great improvisation with the birch "sunglasses". Thanks for sharing!"
They only took a few minutes to make and did the job. Think I freaked some passing conoers out! Mucho obligato.

quote TomT: "Awesome as always. Glad you finally got to sample some wet feet joy. Can't wait for part 2 !"
Oh yes...next time I need dry camp shoes!
quote jcavenagh: "Welcome to the wet side, Young Anikin!"
The soggy side was brilliant for this over-the-hill Anikin.
quote AndySG: "

I am lazy and abhor typing! Thankee.
quote 520eek: "Thanks for the second video! Fun to watch!"

Gotta say the editing is really good on this. You sure have some tricks up your sleeve and I for the life of me don't know how you accomplished the underwater wiew of the sun being blotted out by the two boats passing over. Was that just lucky or what?
Also the canoe flip and talking while portaging. I've done that for one of my reports and it's tough. Especially getting shots of you walking away down the trail then having to retrieve the camera. That's tiring stuff man and I applaud your efforts. Love the music too.
Hope you get in the water up there again sometime. It's a magical place. Try Quetico for more remote, solitudely fun. Bring some camp shoes though. :) Oh, and 2 pair of glasses are a must. I hope you kept your lone ranger mask for a keepsake. That was hilarious.

Thankee Tom. I had a look in mind when starting this trip and think shots the whole time. Makes me view a voyage differently...for the better. I see more.
The boats passing over was one shot I had in mind but the sun in the shot was unexpected. My GoPro that I use for underwater only has no playback so it is just a guess.
The portage cam was my time to chat on video alone. Was holding the camera at first but then mounted it on a crossbar and that was so much better.
Going to retrieve camera is part of the deal and discipline. I feel you need some different angles and POVs to make the video watchable.
Quetico for sure sometime.
I did keep my birch eyeware and will use them again. Actually lighter and more comfortable than sunglasses.

Great Video. I've enjoyed looking at your trips on Youtube. I particularly enjoyed seeing you on the Sioux Hustler trail in October heading north toward Range Line Lake. We camped on Range Line during the tremendous storm last year and came close to being killed. We had to cut our way out down to Hustler. I laughed when I heard you say "thank you, thank you, thank you" to the Forest Service for their work on that video. We are returning in a couple weeks and will base camp on Oyster this year. I've got various age groups going with me. How difficult was the portage from Hustler to Oyster? RJB

Wow wow! That storm must have been scary and intense. Did it last long? Cutting through must have been quite a chore.
The portage fro Hustler to Oyster seems long but was fairly flat and not too bad. Though we only went from intersection of Sioux Hustler Trail and portage. Did not see it from intersection to Hustler.

We were hanging on for dear life for twenty minutes of high wind and rain. I've never experienced anything quite like it. It took us 4.5 hours to cut and hack our way back to Hustler Lake. The details of the trip are in the latest Boundary Waters Journal. I've pointed several of our folks to your videos ...very entertaining, great camera work and helpful ...really appreciate it ...keep it up.

quote TomT: "Shug, I think this might be your first trip video with no "brakefest from the hammock..." :)"
I settled for espresso and peanut butter pop tart from the hammock then got up to join the boys.

Thanks. My channel has grown to over 36,000 subs and I never ask folks for thumbs up or to subscribe. I do enjoy making videos though.
