Another great night in the blackbird. The warbonnet has the ridge line from end to end that supports the bug screen but I added another from the suspension points and did get a better hang.
I primarily added the second ridge line to have something to attach the UQ. It has been rotating/shifting in the night and one side will be left unprotected. I tied a short cord from the small rings along the side of the HG incubator and over the ridge line. The middle ring on the UQ is right at entry and the head end has interference from the wings so unable to really attach them.
Any others experience rotation of their UQ and any ideas?

That's interesting - something I never thought about.

I have a Hennessy with the bottom entry, and there's a ladder loop on my JRB Winternest that matches up to the side pullouts for the hammock. The ladder loop is basically a loop sewn to the side, and halfway up the free part of the loop it is sewn again.

I imagine you could do something similar with the shelf pullouts.

I'll see about hanging it up and getting pics if you're interested in seeing it deployed.

I have some UQ adjustment videos that may give some insight. Hope it does. Carry forth.

I had the same problem especially when the wind was blowing. The UQ would catch the wind and blow completely out from under me. Burrrr! I did something similar to what you are doing only I use the tarp ridge line. I put prussic knots on the tarp ridge line and attach the UQ and UQ protector using S-Beners. This really helped pull the UQ up in place and solved a lot of cold spot problems.

Shug, thanks for the video. Your comments about cinching one side tighter at the foot box makes sense.
The folks at HG put the small hook points for some reason. I will try the cinching and keep looking for ways to make an effective tie out to ridge line or ?

This is what I will be purchasing before my next trip..i've gone back and forth on getting them. I use shock cord rigged up to accomplish the same thing, but not as convenient. I also have an s-biner that I attach to the zipper on my hammock to keep it up on my shoulder (if that makes sense). Everything seemed to stay in place with that set up.

I used the quilt hooks, snapped both of them...:/ cheap enough it wouldn't hurt to throw a few extras in the bag. Maybe I need to request titanium ;)

I don't use them myself but just wanted to pass them on.

I attached the DutchWare aluminum quilt hooks that Shug references to my Hennessy UL Backpacker hammock and they worked awesomely up in Quetico a couple weeks ago. In addition, I used a pair of the quilt hangers. Highly recommend!

I gave never had this happen with my underquilt, or the wind blowing it out of place. Then I remembered that unlike you, I have a bug net that goes around the whole hammock. This must hold it in place better.

For your problem I would see if you could install loops on the outside of your quilt. Then attach a bungee shock cord to each loop, maybe 3 loops should work.

Too hot today but I picked up some little s-biners and shock cord. I have some extra cord grips (the plunger type) and intend to rig a shock cord system from the three rings on the uq to the ridge line. I will be able to adjust the tension. The system will be very similar to the existing tie outs on the warbonnet. Once tested I will post my experience.
Thanks all.

I couldn't find my plungers but rigged the shock cord as shown. I left some tail for later plunger add. Seems to work pretty well. Test it for sure next week in the great BWCA.

Spent two nights and the UQ stayed in place. Temps got to the low 60's and I was fine with my poncho liner, never got the sleeping bag unpacked. The UQ gave me the warmth even with a pretty good breeze blowing through.
