Going in this weekend (Sat.). Still deciding if I will go in Moose to Knife then Kek or go in Lake One to Thomas, up to Kek and then Knife to exit via Moose. Good laker lakes. I need to sort out the logistics of the second option. Looks like good weather for most of it. Will have 4 days so it will be a short trip.

Thanks Boonie! Hope to see you out there sometime.

quote GraniteCliffs: "Did the exact solo earlier this year. Hooked a tow to Knife and started there.
Have a great trip."
Thanks for the info GraniteCliffs -- did you get an outfitter to drop you at Indian portage or were you able to go a bit further on Birch?

Drop gear at EP30, Lake One and drive back to outfitter of choice on Moose. Have them shuttle you to Lake One or any variation of that theme.
I would do the route going in Lake One and out Moose as the more difficult portages are from Knife to Frasier. My packs would be lighter and I in better condition towards the end of the trip. More available campsites along the Lake One to Frasier route also give some flexibility.
