I have been doing some research today and have narrowed my trip options for late July to Moose River to Agnes or Stuart River to Stuart Lake.

It seems like Agnes is pretty busy but people really like it. We really want to have a bit of a longer trip in- at least 5 hours. Last year we paddled Little Gabbro to Gabbro and it was WAY to quick (at the camp site by 10am)! We are pretty experienced and can move fairly quickly. How long does the Moose River to Agnes take? Which one of these trips is better? Are there any other suggestions for a trip out of the Ely area? I have done Lake One to Insula and Snowbank to Ima.

Please help! It is so difficult planning trips!

In late July, water levels can be low which would make the Stuart River option a real slog. Moose River North is very nice and very popular. In 5 hours, one can get to Tiger Bay Area of Lac La Croix, an area with good fishing and scenic. From there, one could day trip to Iron lake or to Fish Stake Narrows and Lady Boot bay. That would be my pick. ;-)

+1, or head all the way to Iron.

Water levels vary a bunch, did a Sept. Stuart River entry and had plenty of water. 1 entry per day, not much company till Iron Lake.

We had lunch on the north end of Agnes this spring with no real breaks. IF you leave early and go for it, you can do LLC or Iron even in that day. If you want to do 5 hours and start around 8am, you'll probably get to the N end of Agnes unless you want to risk trying to find a site in Boulder Bay later in the evening.
