How did you celebrate National Beer Day? Our group met at the golf course to talk smart and check out the new chef's menu. Still pretty unremarkable and poorly-prepared fare, but the the 20 newly-installed taps were a welcome addition. Enjoyed a Bent Paddle Bent Hop and a Sierra Nevada Wild Hop. Very similar and could have saved a dollar by staying with my new MN favorite. Introduced some of the others to Bent Paddle's Black Ale and Magic Hat #9.

I celebrated with 3 surly furious's at the pointe in prior lake. I would have preferred something else but its the best they have.

I am currently cooling the last brew of the day. GB Nordeast today. Nothing real exciting. But I AM drinking a lock & dam as I cool.

I really like it. This was my second time getting it. Tasted really good while flipping steak on the grill tonight.

I spent the 4th on an airplane and that evening in New Orleans. My first Louisiana beer proved to be the second best encounter on our trip that included Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Mississippi. The LA31 Biere Pale (Bayou Teche Brewing), an American Pale Ale, was not particularly favored by RateBeer participants but it appealed to my tastes.
