I was already super excited for our 4th trip to the BW. Then last week we recruited another couple, very close friends of ours, to join us on their VERY FIRST BW trip! Super fun to bring enthusiastic outdoors people to this beautiful place.

Now I was just informed that my friend is planning to propose to his girlfriend on the trip!! Even more fun!

I was really hoping to find a spot that is scenic enough for this moment. We will be traveling from Little Indian Sioux North EP up thru Shell, Lynx, Oyster, maybe Heritage, Agnes, maybe up to Gebeonequet. Planning to exit at moose river.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I can think of a couple.

1) Devils Cascade-near the top of Devils Cascade is a large spot that people have camped at, had lunch at etc that looks over the gorge. The only drawback is the name devils cascade if they are superstitious at all.

2) Elm Creek portage-along the Little Indian Sioux River is a very scenic portage known as Elm Creek. It has rushing water most of the portage that runs right next to the portage trail. Find a pretty spot along the portage for him to ask her. There are quite a few.

3) If he wants to wait until the end of the trip there is a spot on Moose River that you could climb to get a scenic overview of the area. I call it Top of the World. Travelling south to the EP exit on the river its after Nina Moose on the east side about 1/3 of the way back to the parking lot from Nina Moose. You will see it as there are some places where canoes pull over to access the climb-kind of like little water driveways. Its a scramble to the top but the views are amazing.

If you haven't done so already? Check out our Trip report from a few years back. We passed through some of those lakes - maybe it'll give you some ideas?
