How well does that knottable leader material turn over? Also, what is the best way to attach it to the mono leader (blood knot, nail knot? etc) Also, how do you set this rig up? Do you use a heavy mono for a butt section and attach that to the wire? Thanks for the help

I assume you mean Surflon wire. It turns over OK for wire. You could use perfection loop connections if you keep them small or a double uni. The wire is good for smaller hook eyes but I have been using 50lb fluoro when the hook eye accommodates its size.

The Tyger wire leader material takes a clinch knot, palomar, and rapala (loop) knot very well. As far as leader to tippet connections, I agree with jeroldharter. The loop to loop is great, or a surgeon's knot is also great. But I would recommend, as he does, to go with a heavy mono bite section and forgo the wire. A good leader recipe is what they use for tarpon, meaning Heavy butt, thinner belly, heavy bite section.
