Has anyones been on Sioux Hustler Trail during deer hunting season? I do know that there is hunting allowed in BWCA but wondering if anyone has intel on the activity on the BWCA foot trails. Angleworm too.
Are the trails closed during hunting season? Having no luck trying to find out online.
Thankee.

i've hiked both the Sioux hustler and angleworm during deer season, angleworm several times. i have never run across deer hunters but always find shotgun shells from bird hunters. i play it safe and wear blaze orange and my yellow lab always will have on some thing to make him look less like a deer.

I've also never run into any deer hunters on the Sioux Hustler (not to say there aren't any). Every fall trip I've made I have run into grouse hunters, but never seen any past the Devil's Slide. Never had any trouble with them either. They all were pleasant and seemed to be hunting safely.

BWCA trails are not closed to hiking during deer season.

I am watching the weather and hoping to head up that way Wednesday morning for one last trip before I needs to get the winter gear out.

Thankee for that. Good to know for sure.
