...a good winter read for those familiar with the Woodland Caribou would be the book:
North Spirit/Paulette Jiles. While it takes place a bit north and east of the Woodland, the stories of the landscape/tied with the people makes a wonderful read...and further appreciation of our short journeys into northern Ontario...my first read of this book took place on Jigsaw when my wife and I were "lightning bound." It has continued yearly for us...at home, in the BWCA, or our trips into the Woodland Caribou...Enjoy!!!
