I love this slide show and I love Wood Lake. I think I’ve stayed at that campsite more than any other in the BWCA. It’s always our intent to stop there, fish and move on to fish Good. We’ve never made it off Wood Lake. There are so many spots that are fun to fish. It’s been well over 20 years since I’ve been there so it’s fun to watch your slide show. One of my favorite pictures I’ve taken is of my 8 yo son standing on that rock at the top of the landing fishing with the sun just going down for the day.

I just secured my permit for Mid Sept into Wood on my very first solo trip and my first trip since 2008 after going at least once every year for 25 years. I swear, THIS time I’m going into Good one way or another! I might even try a different campsite on Good, Indiana or Basswood. I can’t wait.
