Came to check this out after another site we were targeting was already taken. Nicely tucked around a point and protected from prevailing winds with a beautiful view out over the lake. The firegrate area was appealing with ample seating for a smaller group and you can enjoy that lake view while tending the fire. Two landings which were each "OK". One large tent pad but were not able to see a great option for a second tent of the size we had. Ultimately we decided to move on due to that tent pad option and did find another site that worked for us but in retrospect, this would have been just fine for a night or two.

Campsite is tucked back in a small bay mostly away from main boat traffic, though you will occasionally hear motorized boats. The main area is full of red/white pines and very scenic from the fire grate. There is a nice island nearby. Favorable tent sites are limited and a larger tent would not work here. We made two small 3 person tents work and one hammock. Canoe landing is on the southwest side of the site, back in the small bay. There are a couple of small rock outcroppings that make a nice "front porch". View from site is northeast/east. Located in a heavy-use area during the summer.

Moonrises, Loons, and Turtles, loved the breeze. No bugs and really not a lot of firewood either. Wonderful lake to explore. Lots of islands and a large scenic rock to climb for a breathtaking view

Camp Notes:
This campsite has a great fire grate and cooking setup with several flat rocks for tables. The campsite was protected the entire time from winds out of the S and SW. The bay out from the site was also protected where we could fish and paddle to watch sunset out of the wind. Nice tent pads, a large grassy area to store gear, and hammock trees. Latrine was well-kept and fairly close to the site. The only downsides we noted of the campsite were the landing areas for canoes. There are good spaces for one, maybe two canoes, but any more than that and it may get crowded unloading. At night the shore was alive with crayfish, frogs, snapping turtles, as well as beavers and loons in the cove.

Nice site sheltered from the wind and just off the main lake route through Pipestone Bay, has three good tent pads and a good kitchen area.

Large site with good kitchen. Protected from wind with room for shore fishing. We went to the north tip of this area and found a big school of walleye. This site is away from other campers moving through Pipestone. I would camp here again.
