Camp Notes:
Nice little stair step landing. Open fire grate area with view of the lake. Several premium tent pads. Short trail to the flume rapids & bath tub swimming area where the river washes into the lake. Also, a longer hike leads to an enchanting waterfall behind camp. Some nice large cedar trees near camp. With it's proximity to portage trail and waterfall, privacy may be an issue.

This is a great campsite. It had a very nice boat landing. It was a very open site with 3 decent tent pads and 2 rough ones. The best part is how easy it is to go explore the falls and the peak in between Brule and Vernon.

Beautiful site with plenty of tent pads of varying materials. A wonderful view of the lake from the camp kitchen. There is a path to the nearby waterfall, which you get to hear all night. And of course, the man-made pool is a welcome bonus.

Excellent campsite. Very open. Nice landing. Sheltered tent pads. Next to the mouth of a creek. Good camp furniture. Trails to explore rapids up from camp. Smallies and northerns were plentiful. Decent area to swim right in front of camp. Decent view from fire grate.

Camp Notes:
This campsite is one of the most open sites I have ever seen. As stated the stream that flows into the lake has been dammed by some industrious and I would have to say STRONG people. The pools that are formed make for some very relaxing white noise, while sleeping, and phenomenal spots to swim. The tent pads are mostly in a wide open grassy area that gives multiple possibilities for pitching a tent. The landing is also well maintained and provides for an easy landing. The view is decent from the fire grate area and a southerly breeze helps keep the bugs away. The sitting area is better than most with nice sitting logs. Finding a tree to hang the food is a little bit of a challenge. We expected to catch fish below the flowage but it is actually quite shallow from shore. We did find quite a few smallmouths around the rest of the lake though.

My favorite by far. Actually has a man made pool to take a dip in by the creek. Excellent Small mouth fishing as well.
