Has a good landing for canoes on the western point. The rest of the site slowly rises to about 8 feet above the water. Nice large space around the fire with a good view of the lake. 4 Tent pads.

Camp Notes:
This campsite is very open and spacious, especially for larger groups. We were able to set up four sleeping hammocks very close to the lake, and set up two tents on 2 of the 3 ideal tent pads. Camp kitchen area is pretty large and open too, if you plan on rigging up a tarp over it, be sure to have some extra guy lines to string it up. There are tons of little trails that lead back towards the BRT which are fun to explore and look for mushrooms and downed branches/wood. The east-facing rocks are great for jumping into the lake and for watching the sunrise. Despite it being on an entry point lake, this site is nearly 7 miles from Clearwater outfitters and is pretty quiet. The only portage traffic is the one connecting into West Pike, which seems to have significantly less traffic than the portages into Mountain and Caribou (from the east). Overall, this campsite is great for both small and large groups, with beautiful morning and early evening views. There are technically three landings that are feasible, but the the western-most landing is the more ideal one and can fit three canoes up on shore easily.

Camp Notes:
2 easy landings with gentle sloping rocks. Plenty of space for at least 3/4 tents, lots of trees for hammock tents. Good view's of sunrises, nice seating around the fire pit, great rock side for jumping in the lake, plenty of sunshine and light breeze to keep the bugs at bay. Downside: next to a portage so you get the through traffic, the latrine leaks when you pee so raise your feet so they don't get wet.

Very spacious site. Room for at least 3 tents. Elevated fire pit with good views. Little rock ledge to land canoes. Nice area on the point to watch the sunrise. Areas of shade and can be in the sun if you want. Could've stayed more nights if we weren't on our way out.

Great site! May be the best campsite in the BWCA. This site is huge and could fit plenty of tents. Large fire pit area with grate and sitting logs. The view from this site is amazing you can see the lake on almost all sides. Stayed here one night but would have stayed longer if it was not our last night.

A rocky though accommodating landing. A nice grove of cedar with some large pines interspersed throughout provide shade & shelter yet there are still some areas that allow a nice breeze through. Fire grate is elevated and provides a marginal view of the nearby area. Plenty of good tent pads. Trails lead back to access the B-R-T hiking trail. There is an excellent area for swimming and rock jumping just behind the main camp area. (also a great spot to watch sun rises.)

Nice site with good place for tent / tarp. Plenty big for 1 tent probably more. Reasonably open but shaded and decent views / breeze path. Caught numerous smallmouth (11-14 inches) in bay near camp.

I very much enjoyed this site. After a long day of paddling I needed an extra day to recoup and I am glad I choose this site to do so. It was big and roomy, had nice swimming rocks, and was shaded well.
