Camp Notes:
Protected landing area in a little cove, which also makes for good exploration, fishing pier and provides incredible views of the lake and surrounding area. Firegrate area is in a depressed area and the log seating is dilapidated. Best tent pads are back away from the firegrate. Several trails provide good opportunities for exploration and views of the creek. Close neighbors and, likely traffic coming in from Sawbill.

Picturesque campsite with a beautiful rock promontory jutting west out into the lake. One of the most beautiful sites on the lake--but also one of the most exposed during strong winds and adverse weather. The southernmost tent pad back in the woods collects water during storms. Rock is great for drying out your gear after said storm! :)

Area around fit grate is sheltered by the raised rock peninsula to the west, with trees every other direction. We were set up near the grate on our first night, but the north wind had us pull back into the shelter of the woods for the next 2 nights (we had 20 mph winds coming off of the lake)

Camp Notes:
Nice site with 2 great rock outcroppings for stargazing, water filtering, swimming, fishing etc. We only saw 2 decent flat spots for tents and set ours up there. They're between the fire pit and the latrine. Unfortunately when the rain came down we found that the South spot was actually a bowl that fills with rain water. Some people are complaining about the take out but we found it pretty easy. Tough to find trees that are good for hanging a bear bag but if you go up to the latrine and turn left there are 2 tall dead trees. We managed to string a line between them but unfortunately weren't able to get it down so as of when we left there's a line hanging by a carabiner. Doesn't look like much but it held our food up.

Great double peninsula spot. A few good tent pads. Nice kitchen area, albeit a bit breezy. Beautiful rock formations for lounging in the sun, star gazing, sunset watching or fishing. Lots of firewood. Several trails leading to other areas. Easy to get lost on way back from latrine in the dark. We didn't think that the landing was that bad as you had several options. Spent 4 days here; we would choose it again. Very close to the entry from Cherokee Creek.

One of the best sites on Cherokee Lake. Has a wonderful large rocky peninsula that is great for jumping into the water, sunning, fishing, and star gazing. Fire ring area is nicely sheltered and shaded. There are several decent tent sites. Canoe landing is marginal, but passable. Highly recommended!

Nice site with 3 good and one marginal camp pad, great food hanging tree up near the latrine, and a great stone peninsula pair for great star viewing, and makes for a nice swimming area. Only complaint is the landing.
