Beautiful site with a wide-open view of the sky for wonderful stargazing. great kitchen area, nice landing area, good swimming, okay fishing in the area (not from shore) and a brand new latrine - thanks to John and Austen from the USFS! Plan to get firewood by canoe.

Camp Notes:
Great site. Lots of space. Nice easy landing and room for 3-4 boats. Kitchen was decent with a few logs for seating. Generally, 3-4 private tent pads and a ton of trees for hammocks. We had 1 tent and 4 hammocks and plenty of space. Latrine was close enough. Only negative was the lack of a good bear bag hanging tree. Managed. Caught a Pike off of shore, and Walleyes in Sawbill. Bugs were horrible for this early in the year. Great overall trip though...

Nice, open spot upon a large rock. Good views of the lake as well as the sunset. Very open, was tricky to hang a canopy but plenty of room for many campers. Was clean and in good shape. Would definitely go back.

Camp Notes:
Canoe landing is to the left of the elevated fire pit area as you approach the site. The two decent tent pads are right behind the fire pit area. The fire pit area is very nice, somewhat difficult to find firewood close to camp. There are two more tent pads back in the woods. One is on the way to the latrine (due East) but is basically on a large, uneven rock outcropping. The second is to the north of the fire pit area, but looks like it could get flooded in rain. The fire pit and main tent area is nice and open, gets good breeze to keep the bugs away, great sunset views out over the north end of Sawbill. We found one good bear tree to the south of the canoe landing. Follow the fallen log along the trail and then look left (East) for a leaning tree (about 45 deg). Is fairly high and easy to toss a rope over.

Wonderful campsite with large rock area and multiple more enclosed tent pads. Kitchen faces west for great sunset viewing. Walk to the latrine is easy and even pretty. Great site for swimming.

Camp Notes:
Was a pretty good campsite, comfortable for our group of 9. Great views, nice wind from the West kept the bugs away during the day. Not much for shade and had a hard time finding a tree to hang the food from but no bears in the 3 days that we camped there. Fairly private with 3-4 canoes going by each day. Two tent pads in the main area, and two more smaller private pads in the woods. Tent pads were somewhat rocky but not unbearable. Nice area to pull canoes up on shore. Watch out for the large resident Snapping Turtle who shows up and begs for fish scraps!

Camp Notes:
Site on high rock with beautiful view of lake west and northward. Rather open though so will feel the wind from several directions and finding trees to anchor tarp or hang pack somewhat tricky (found 2 trees 40yds up on path north from camp that had good open branches for hanging). If you enjoy watching other canoes paddle by off in the distance--you'll like this spot.
