Very hidden/shaded site. I didn't prefer it as there is no visual of the lake and a bit closed in. No great hanging trees. The site does have a great landing rock. OK site, but would choose another if given the option.

Camp Notes:
Great site and very well hidden. Landing isn't bad and there is a nice rock 'dock' to soak in the sun, watch sunsets and stargaze. The fire grate and tent pads are well wooded. There is room for 1-5 tents with one pad that could fit up to a 6 man tent. It's a well used site so please leave no trace and clean up others garbage. The latrine was very full and needed to be pushed down with a large stick. I only wish there was a view of the lake from the main fire grate.

This site will always hold special meaning with me as it was my 15 yr old sons first trip to the bwca. He was bugging me all summer that he wanted to try it. Wasn't too keen on spending a ton of money in case he didn't like it so bought the hammock and necessary clothing and rented everything else for him. was cold but he loved every minute of it. I don't go without him now as hes part of our annual tripping group. This site has plenty of room for 9 people. can hang a hammock anywhere here. room for multiple tents. landing was good. good sunset views.

Camp Notes:
Great landing area with a few large, smooth rocks that are just under the water surface. Very nice, open campfire area with large, sitting logs that frame a nice fire pit. Tree canopy offers great protection from the sun if needed but allows for 3-4 flat tent pads. Two people in our party used hammocks and there are a hand full of trees to choose from for this. The dive rock previously mention by another camper is truly a treat. We took the most amazing family, Christmas photo as everyone jumped off into the water. Fishing on the lake was above average. The lake is small with three campsites but works as a great home base for excursions to other lakes. This camp site is by far the best of the three on the lake. The best review I can give about this site is that I will be returning.

Unless you stop to see it you won't know how great of a site you're missing. Great rock to watch the sunset/stars from. Very nice level area to hang your tarp if you wish and do you cooking/chores/hanging out. Plenty of tent options and tons of wood available in the beautiful surrounding woods. Latrine is up the hill a bit but can't complain. This site would be great for a base camp if you wanted.

Larger site could possibly hold 4 -2 man tents, but one would be closer to fire area out of the woods. Lots of trees for hammocks. Landing is a bit tricky and rocky. Lots of roots and rocks heading up to site. Traffic area as it is on the corner heading to the portage to Burnt Lake. Caught some perch right off shore. God rock to jump off of on island to the North of the site. About a 8-10 foot jump. Had to take this site as no others on the lake were available, but glad I did. Agree with another posting that this would be a great base camp. Access to Burnt and Sawbill are close. All great fishing lakes.

Campsite was well shaded, a flat spot for a large tent and small tent. Great sitting area around the fire and a plenty of trees for 3 hammocks and a tarp over the cooking area. The canoe landing was not ideal. This was a great site for base camping.

Somewhat hidden site - has nice flat tent pads, decent fire ring, pretty good canoe landing. Lots of shade when you want it. Many crayfish at shore at night.
